Blog:
Unlike most design magazines, which tend to be proper, smut-free bastions of elegant language and terminology, design blogs push the envelope. Decorno (“décor porno”) is one such blog. The writer is snarky, sometimes hypercritical and completely unapologetic. There’s plenty to look at — beautiful homes from popular magazines, newspapers and the web — as well as plenty of commentary. Whether the author loves something or hates it — and questions the judgment of the journalist(s) who chose to publish it — she gives a no-holds-barred opinion. The most fascinating part is the comments section where anonymous arguments often ensue. Check out “Decorating for Beginners.” It’s thoroughly entertaining — you may feel compelled to contribute.
