When Samuel Borkson and Arturo Sandoval, the artists behind FriendsWithYou, redesigned their website (which they refer to as their “magical portal”), they aimed to make it a true experience for the user — and they did so with great success.  Run your arrow over the logo on the homepage and the illustration playfully morphs; touch an image, and it lights up, going from black and white to bright Pop-art color. In addition to a basic blog announcing events and promotions, there’s also an e-commerce store where you can purchase quirky toys (Super Malfi is shown), prints and t-shirts, and an option to sign-in — to join the FriendsWithYou community and “spread magic, luck, and friendship around the world,” the group’s admirable mission. Plus, if you’re looking for even more friendly cheer, you can visit the brick and mortar location in the Design District at 3920 NE 2nd Avenue.
