Its slogan is simple: “Modern Pots and Plants for Modern Folks.” But there’s a little more to Pots and Plants, a new urban garden center set to arrive in the Design District later this month, than that. Owner Annhy Shim plans to purvey Ecolite fiber clay pots, ready-made planters and tabletop gardens in her store, which is located in a small space just behind Marimekko on North Miami Avenue in the Design District. “It will be a highly curated selection of plants,” Shim says, adding that she plans to eventually sell modern hammocks, birdhouses and other outdoor items, too. Additionally, all the products are handmade and hand-finished, so no two pots are alike. Prices range from $25 to $240 for the Ecolite pots, and tabletop succulents (pot included) can be purchased for $85 or more. They make the perfect gift for any of your friends — no matter the color of their thumb.
